Okay, so we’re nearing the end of this epic journey (well, the traveling part of it anyway!) - and we want to know what you think about it all, along with any questions you might have for Travis.
Submit your questions now via the comments form on this post and the best five will get asked on Tuesday night after we return from Bhubaneshwar - the next stop on our whirlwind tour.
You could win a fly Shepard Fairey Tee as sported by Trav himself … AND… you might just get it signed too…
So, get thinking - and post those big Qs now.
Quick update:
We arrived in Mumbai today after leaving the Philippines. Loads of updates coming up - so keep an eye out
Until later…

Travitoooooooo!!
Do you think this trip will effect your music? I did a trip similar once and it changed me completely as a person. It seems like it’s doing the same for you? The evolution of artists music is always fun to follow.
- Derrek
PS) Hook me up with a shirt everybody! I look like a homeless man. *scratches his Wolly Wutsit beard*
Travis, I realize that you, and those who have traveled with you, have learned a great deal about how different parts of the world are dealing (or not dealing) with HIV/AIDS.
Will you take what you’ve learned from Bulelani and Alex and keep trying to educate people in the US about the epidemic? If so, how?
Thanks so much for embarking on this journey. I’ve learned a lot already just from reading this blog.
So let’s go, first sorry about my english I am french and I hope you gonna understand my question =)
Travie I want to know if your trip and people that you met and all the experience gonna influence the new GCH album ? Because I know all your music it’s about your life and your experience. And if you gonna do an other trip to help the others countries ?
I am proud of you you’re a good man I already knew it but you show who you are for real not only an artist but a MAN first !
I hope one day I could do what you’re doing for the world.
I love U
First of all, I have enjoyed reading your updates about your trip. It has been both heartwarming and educational. I hope that you will continue helping out with this project, Travis.
Are you planning to visit other countries after this trip? Or are there any countries that you wish you could visit to share what you have learned so far from Bulelani & Alex about their experience with their own projects?
Is there a way that the public can help make sure that Bulelani & Alex get an extension with their grants?
Will you incorporate your experience into some tracks on the Gym Class Heroes’ next album? I love you, guys. I attended last year’s Warped Tour just to see y’all
Travie,
Having learned about different cultures and being to so many different cities in less then one week. What do you think you’re going to take with you.. and what did you value the most out of your trip? Do you think your sound with Gym Class Heroes may change due to the different sounds of music that you have experienced?
Having seen how different cultures live, what has hit you the most and what kind of message would you like to broadcast about that? Do you see yourself traveling back and helping out again? What was your favorite moment and why was it your favorite?
I am truly proud of what you have done and hope to someday be able to see what you’ve seen.
xoxo
hello all,
this question is for georgia, julie & travie.
respectfully, id like to know how i, someone who is not as famous as you all, can help those in my community, state & maybe even my country to be better educated about the dangers, awarenesses and highs & lows of HIV/AIDS worldwide. how can i impact someones life the way you all have impacted mine? id like to get started on a foundation in my hometown of miami, fl. perhaps work with children at the Y or have community health services at clinics and schools. how can i get involved? id like some of your input if possible, please.
thank you for giving me something to look forward to. may you all continue to have a fruitful & safe journey.
Out of everything you have learned and observed in these countries what advice and/or knowledge could you share with the kids back home in America?
Travis, after embarking on this life changing journey, and allowing us to see and learn from what you are experiencing, I would like to know how this has affected your life as of now? How it will determine your future? and if there is one specific anecdote among all, that truly opened up your eyes to the reality and meaning of this epic adventure?
I know I will take this and learn from it, just as you did from your loved one’s loss followed by this truthful experience. Thank you, for being a voice for those who would otherwise be left unheard for most of us.
While traveling and talking about HIV/AIDS, did you learn something about the epidemic that you didn’t know? Meaning, is there something you learned on this journey that made you go, “WOW, I never knew that?” If so, what was it?
great thing your doing travis!
out of all the places you are going to visit or have visited, which place will you most likely visit again and what was the most heartfelt question or aspect you were asked about HIV and aids and were you surprised about the knowledge the kids and teens and adults knew about aids? if they knew about it or not.
BIG hello to everyone at the staying alive foundation
my question is this… i know tht alot of ur body art resembles periods in your life and important things to you. so are u planning to get a new tattoo to represent “staying alive”? if so what?
X
my question is… how are you going to get the hell boy gun through customs??
on your epic journey you probebly would have realised tht you, like all of us, take for granted what you have. what possesion/item ect do you thing u take for granted the most?
is ur charity record going to be called the unbeaten track??
or maybe do a spin off ov “clothes off” something like, u just have to wear a, condom, to have a good time!
if you could have taken a friend with you on your trip. who would it have been and why? X
if you could have taken one person to join you on ur trip. who would you take and why?
After witnessing all the poverty in the countries you have visited so far, i’ve noticed you have realized that the kids were still smiling and were happy. When you return to the U.S do you think this experience will have an impact on your spending habits?
What methods of communication are you going to use to keep in touch with Bulelani when your back home?
Are you gonna invite him down to your bar Angels & Kings?
- Azim
Travie & Staying Alive:
Thank you all for hosting/documenting this epic journey! Here are my questions:
America seems divided when it comes down to what we’re teaching kids in Sex Ed. Abstinence or otherwise. Is the Staying Alive foundation doing things to make sure that kids are well informed in their Sex Ed classes? Are there any products developed by Staying Alive that schools could use?
I saw Travie say that getting the word out about HIV/Aids is probably our best method of controlling the Pandemic. That being said, in what ways is Staying Alive allowing people like myself (who are not famous and of little influence lol) to spread the word on a large scale? How can I make an impact?
Lastly, Travie, you got to talk to the people, experience the culture, and see first hand what many only dream of. What story inspired you or touched you the most while on your trip.
Thanks! I really want that shirt and an autograph from Travis…I kinda dig him LoL
so, travis mcCoy

you are a very inspirational person, wether u realise it or not. u have been though some pretty tough times and came out the other side stronger. i look up too u, not only Metaphorically but Literally too
who has been most inspirational to you on your journey?? and how will they effect ur everyday lifa from now on? x
Travis,
You are a huge inspiration to me and others, I think what you are doing is incredible and if you can help even one person in the world (which you have) You should be proud of yourself! I also(like yourself) lost a close friend to the disease,She died very recently.. even last year in September when you were at the VMAS Raising awareness she watched all your videos and told me what a great example you set and she is just very proud that more is being done to raise awareness of this disease! Keep doing your thing Travis I have great love and respect for you!
And here are my questions…
Do you think this trip has changed you as a person will you do anything differently in your life from now on?
After the trip will you still carry on raising awareness on the HIV and AIDS crisis.
Hey Travis!
I have been watching all your videos through out the whole trip and been following you on twitter..Well done for all the awareness you are raising about the HIV/AIDS crisis!
What inspired you to make a change in the world?
Why did you decided to support this cause?
what made you want to do a trip like this? What have you learned from this trip that has changed you in a significant way? and if you could go on another trip like this where else would you want to go?
So travie,
I know everyone is asking you about your experience and stuff throughout your journey, but i was wondering if you will marry me?
=p
Travis this has been on my mind for just about , hmmm , ever , WILL YOU MARRY ME .?!
lolzx .
Do you think if you would have never gone on your tour, would you have that drive to rise the awareness of HIV/AIDS?
travis shleprock mcCoy….
nappy boy all star remix- every girl. is a great song. i love it (especially ur verse!) but do you think the lyrics are a little too irrisponsible giving the current epidemic??
what have u missed the most from home? other than punch out! x
If you could drink only one type of coffee brand/flavor what would it be?
[=
Have you ever thought of what kind of impression you wanted to have on people, regardless if you care what they think or not, and what do you want or think Gym class Heroes legacy to or will be?
Travis, seeing as how you were recently signed to T-Pains label once you drop your solo album. Which producers would you like to have on your first LP and don’t just say Kanye, Just Blaze and them other cats cause you’re major cause I know you know about the real producers like DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Pro, etc. Would you have any of them on your first album?
Hey travie,
Since I’m a big music fanatic, I was wondering when you were writing down ideas for the song your recording after this amazing journey, were those thoughts like things you noticed in your surroundings or things said to you from the people you met?
Dear Travis,
Im Was Wondering If GCH Is Coming Out With A CD Anytime Soon, And Is Your Music Going To Change From Your “Epic” Jouney?
Signed,
Crystal Calamity™

Pick My Question!!!
Hey Travie, I’ve been a big fan of the music for awhile now. Through listening to the changes in your music, I have often wondered what inspires you the most? I know different songs have different meanings, but like what inspires you to be the person you are?
Thanks you
Ricky Houdyshell
hey boo how has this experience change the way you view people around the world and how has it changed the way you live your life?
i love this band
Travis,
What advice do you have to give to those who aspire to go into the humanitarian & AIDS field?
I just want to say that things like this inspire me and make you one of my role models, its good seeing artists take time to go visit other countries and teach them awareness about spreading diseases.
I’m traveling to Uganda on Saturday to do similar things (I’m only 16) Is there any advice you can give to me to use while I’m out there?
x
Hey Trav!
I guess there’s nothing i can ask you about your trip that hasn’t asked any of the people above, but i’d like to say that your trip & all the things you are doing makes me kinda proud as a fan, mostly ‘couse not every artist or celebrity would do it and record every aspect of the experience to make people aware of how the world really is. And to finish i wanna ask you if you will ever come to argentina, just to visit the conutry and fans (me) at least hahaha
PS: my english is a bit rusty, sorry for that
I had this great idea of a question to ask you, about if you ever saw yourself becoming this successful but then I realized what I always wished for and wonder if you would like the same.
If you could rent out an entire movie theater and watch any movie(s) what would they be and why?
I have been privileged to be raised humble aka (poor), so I must ask, what have you realized in your life that you take for granted? Being from America we all think our “problems” are substantial, but in truthful actuality they are nothing compared to true problems other countries posses, in realizing this; Do you try to be humble or is it a quality that comes and goes because of the fame gain?
Rhyann Rodriguez
Hello!
The first thing I would like to say is, thank you. I learned a lot reading about your experience.
While the average person may not be able to embark on a trip like yours, its up to those who do embark on these trips to share what they’ve learned with everyone else. I think it would be a great idea to allow your experience to influence your music… The younger generations may not watch the news or read newspapers, but if they pop in your CD, it could spark an interest or motivate them to want to help….
How do you plan on educating people about world wide problems such as AIDs and HIV or hunger?
here i go again, another question for travie,
i need to win that tee, coz without u..im just me!
ive followed u from bernie allen to tequila mockingbird,
coz without a doubt ur voice, its the sweetest thing ive heard!
this journey goes to show, ur a very selfless man,
and if anyone can do it, best believe tht travie can!
the question is as follows, its a simple one to say..
IF YOU COULD DO THINGS OVER, WOULD YOU DO THINGS THE SAME WAY?
would you go through all the papercuts, disaters and depression?
would you get though ur addictions and another “brooklyn basment” session?
my ring, its tells me ‘rubbers rock’ they catch the bullet from the gun.
so believe the words from shleprock
and remember… each one, teach one!!
-kellie briggs
Travis,
How has this trip changed your priorities?
What is important now that wasn’t before, and what was important then that isn’t now?
Wishing you all the best:)
Sally
Hey Travis, First off i want to start out by saying i frickin love you and i want to marry you some day. =) lol
Question
1. Is there anything thing you want your fans to know about how you feel about HIV/AIDS? Or what point do you want to get across?
2. What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t a “Gym Class Hero”.
3. Are there any other foundations that you support/ dont support?
4. Is there anyone in your personal life that lives with AIDS or HIV?
Thanks for ALL your time. I love you travis. You did great in Indiana at Warped btw. =P
Hey Travie!
How’s the trip going for you so far? Hope you’re doing well.
How did you get picked as an ambassador for this project? Other than your total awesomeness, of course.
- Emily
What was the most life chaning thing you saw on this trip?
Whether really you consider, what the given travel will help children of Africa and other countries? If 1 from 20 persons will understand a problem essence how it will be reflected in a population, poverty? Whether you consider, what your trip is effective?
Travis Lazarus Mccoy,
How has this trip affected you? What has it taught you, and what have you come to appreciate more greatly? Has it changed your views on things or your person for that matter? Will this affect your future relationship or for that matter your current ones? How’s life? What’s your favorite color? lol. Can I meet you? A lot of questions I know, and I’m sure some have already been asked.
I’m glad you did this journey and I’m glad you shared it with your fans.
Your Biggest Fan (isn’t that what they all say?),
~kenya
P.S. Gym Class Heroes is my favorite band and on myspace under who “I’d Like To Meet” is your name. I can’t wait until I get the chance too see you guys in concert and my one wish will be true.
P.P.S. PLEASE COME TO FLORIDA (BOYNTON BEACH SPECIFICALLY) soon.
Dear Travie,
Watching movie clips and reading blogs from your trip describing all that you have learned and experience has been amazing! It is extremely motivational to see a famous person voluntarily put aside their everyday luxuries and step into an unfamiliar situation.
My question is how will you relate to people without the chance to experience what you did first hand, that the HIV/AIDS problem throughout the world is a reality but that we CAN help prevent from our own homes?
I just want to firstly say, I have loved watching all the video’s and reading the blogs, they have been very inspiring and I have learned a lot.
I just want to thank you for going on this journey and giving everyone an insight.
My question is - What have you missed the most since being away? And, could you go life without whatever it is, knowing the life these people have?
Always wishing you the best
